For the first time this year, Alliance Real Estate sponsored the popular Captain’s League at the Royal Malta Golf Club. This highly anticipated tournament that started in October and was supposed to be concluded in eight weeks, had to be played over an extended calendar, due to partial Covid-19 lockdowns, and was concluded in the beginning of July.

In this league, 128 golf players of mixed levels are drawn into eight teams, each captained by an ex or current RMGC captain. The format for all rounds is individual stableford, qualifying, with order-of-merit points.
Team Hall and Team Jacobsen were neck and neck heading in to round 7 and it was the experience of Captain Hall who prevailed, guiding his team to the illustrious title. The winning team consisted of Nigel Hall (captain), Bengt Angelow, Patrick Baldacchino, Dionyios Baltzis, Thomas Bergendal, Neil Bergin, Edwin Busuttil, Henry Carre, Tim Cleasby, Lee Cope, Andrew Featherstone, Dave Hansen, Harri Lehtiniemi, Tore Lindtveit, Henry Redknap, Peter Satariano and Tero Vienonen.
